#How to read this

This whitepaper is written to be checked, not to impress.

That line opens our business plan, and it sets the rule for everything below. Where we know something, we say so. Where something is a plan, it’s labelled as one. Where we haven’t proved something yet, we don’t pretend we have.

Where things stand

Quanterium and Mooku are pre-launch. Nothing in this document is live yet. Each feature carries its status: in development, targeted for a year, or planned and subject to regulatory advice. Mooku devices are in development, targeted for 2027, subject to funding and testing.

Open chapters and the investor room

Chapters marked Open are here in full. Chapters marked Part open show what we can publish and say what’s held back. Chapters marked Investor room hold our own figures: pricing, unit economics, capital, and the assumptions and risks behind them. They’re open to wholesale and sophisticated investors under NDA.

Chapter 01Part open

#Executive summary

Quanterium is being built to hold your pet’s complete health record and tell you how urgently they need a vet.

My Pet Health is the company. Quanterium is the platform: the health record, AI Triage and, targeted for 2027, telehealth. Mooku is the family of connected devices owners will put on their animals. Mooku, powered by Quanterium, developed by My Pet Health: one company, one platform, one product family.

The thesis

Pet healthcare produces data at every touchpoint and keeps almost none of it, and whoever finally keeps it owns something no competitor can buy. The record is the business, not the collar. Month one it is a convenience. Year six it is irreplaceable.

How it starts

Free to start, because the record should never sit behind a paywall. It works with no device at all. We launch in Australia first, then the United States.

In the investor room

The figures behind this summary are in the investor room.

Chapter 02Open

#The problem

Clinics hold notes. Insurers hold claims. Owners hold a drawer of paper.

Pet health data is generated constantly and stored nowhere the owner can reach. Our business plan describes four failures. They’re the same problem wearing different clothes.

  1. Nobody holds the whole animal. Vaccination certificates are on paper. Clinic notes sit in software the owner can’t open. Prescriptions stay with whoever dispensed them, and insurance lives in a separate portal. The person making the decisions and paying the bills has the worst view of the animal’s health of anyone involved.
  2. Care starts too late. Nothing watches the animal between visits. Dental disease, weight-driven joint damage, renal decline and breed-linked cardiac conditions are all manageable early, and all expensive and uncertain late.
  3. Cost is high and cover is rare. Cost shapes what owners do. In 2022, 68% of Australian pet owners said they had considered not going to the vet when they needed to, driven partly by cost (Animal Medicines Australia, Pets in Australia 2022).
  4. No trusted voice between visits. Owners turn to search engines and social media, and none of them knows the animal.
At 11pm, when the only question is whether this is an emergency, generic advice is worth nothing.

All four trace to one missing thing: a permanent, structured record the owner can reach. Build it and the others become solvable.

Quanterium and Mooku are not diagnostic tools. If you’re worried about your pet, talk to your vet.

Chapter 03Open

#The solution

One profile per animal, kept for life.

A vaccination is entered once and is there for life. A weight from a routine visit joins a trend instead of vanishing into a file. A prescription becomes a reminder.

Observe, interpret, act

  1. ObserveMookuLocation, activity, temperature, heart rate and behaviour: data an owner could never enter by hand.
  2. InterpretQuanteriumHolds the record, assesses urgency and surfaces preventative windows.
  3. ActThe vet and partnersTurn insight into treatment, and treatment back into the record.

The relationship is a loop, not a line. Mooku observes, Quanterium interprets, the vet acts, and the outcome returns to the record.

Built for the people around the animal

Care Circles give partners, family, walkers, sitters and boarding kennels what they need, without handing over an account.

The design rule

The record works with no device at all. Hardware enriches it. Hardware is not a precondition for it.

Manual entry, record import and a photo of a vaccination card are enough to start.

Mooku devices are in development, targeted for 2027, subject to funding and testing. Mooku devices are not diagnostic or medical devices; talk to your vet.

Chapter 05Part open

#AI Triage and AI safety

Triage, not diagnosis.

AI Triage is designed to answer one question: how urgently does this animal need a vet? It answers from the animal’s own history, breed and age, and it never names a condition.

Planned · subject to regulatory advice

Three outcomes

Emergency
Call your vet or the nearest emergency clinic now.
This week
Book a vet visit in the next few days, and go sooner if it gets worse.
Watch at home
Keep an eye on it. If it happens again or anything changes, call your vet.

The rules it works under

Urgency only
It does not name conditions and it does not prescribe. When it’s uncertain, it recommends a vet.
No secrets in prompts
Who can see what is enforced in the retrieval layer, never in the prompt.
No training on records
Model providers will be held to contractual no-training terms.
Redaction
Personal details are removed before anything is written to a log.
Clinical governance
Designed to draw only on clinical guidelines curated under a Veterinary Clinical Lead, a planned hire.

This one design decision cuts regulatory and liability exposure sharply, keeps vets on our side, and answers the question owners most want answered.

#Mooku devices

Five ways to keep an animal safe, healthy and findable.

Health Collar
The flagship. GPS, activity, temperature, heart rate and respiration, sleep, bark and anxiety monitoring, LED night safety.
Super Lead
Walk-time tracking: steps, calories, speed and acceleration, with owner and dog identification.
Heart Harness
Cardiac and respiratory monitoring for higher-risk and older animals, and breeds with known predispositions.
NFC Microchip
Tap to identify. It helps a vet, shelter or finder reach the owner, with what’s shared up to them. It doesn’t replace a registered microchip.
Home Guard
The base station. Safe zones, virtual fence and lost-dog mode around the property.

Planned specification

  • LTE-M
  • Bluetooth LE
  • LoRa (TTN)
  • RFID
  • NFC
  • QR code
  • Accelerometer

The Mooku QR collar

Every Mooku QR collar is a scannable link to a pet’s record. It’s a printed tag, not electronics. If someone finds the pet, they scan the tag and can reach the owner, with what’s shared up to the owner.

Planned

Mooku devices are in development, targeted for 2027, subject to funding and testing. Mooku devices are not diagnostic or medical devices; talk to your vet. Specification is planned, not final.

#Vets, Pet Partners and go-to-market

Our primary channel is the veterinary clinic, the highest-trust touchpoint in pet ownership.

Plan

We will not compete with vets. We’re built to bring a structured history through their front door, and authority stays with them. Vet Mode, a clinic-facing summary before the animal is through the door, is targeted for 2028.

For partners, the plan is free software for vets, insurers, councils and associations, with co-branded enablement, training and events, and dedicated account management. No partnerships are signed yet.

Pet Partners

Local pet businesses will be able to reach nearby owners with promotions targeted by suburb, city or nationwide. Every promotion is reviewed by Quanterium before it goes live, and partners see status, views and clicks in their own dashboard. The partner network starts as a directory and earns its way up.

#Market

A large category, entered from two directions.

Global pet care
USD 289.17 billion in 2026, forecast to reach USD 499.06 billion by 2034, a compound annual growth rate of 7.06% (Fortune Business Insights, Pet Care Market report, updated 28 Sep 2026).
United States
USD 158 billion spent on pets in 2025 (American Pet Products Association, 26 Mar 2026).
Australia
73% of households have a pet: 31.6 million animals, and about A$21.3 billion spent on them each year (Animal Medicines Australia, Pets in Australia, Sep 2025).

#Competition and why we win

We are not taking share from an incumbent. We are creating a behaviour.

What owners use today

Trackers
Tracking-led. The data never becomes a portable clinical record.
Telehealth
Episodic. No memory between consultations.
Clinic software
Built for the clinic. The owner can’t get in.
Doing nothing
A drawer and a memory. Free, universal, already installed, and it fails exactly when it matters.

Why the record can win

  1. The record gets more useful with every entry. A collar depreciates. Six years of one animal’s structured health history can’t be bought, copied or rebuilt, only accumulated.
  2. The vet clinic is our planned primary channel. We’re built to arrive inside the consultation with a structured patient history, not to go around the vet.
  3. Triage, not diagnosis. It answers the question owners most want answered, and it keeps the vet in charge of the medicine.

Quanterium isn’t live yet. The comparison describes what it’s being built to be.

#Security and platform architecture

We hold medical records and household locations. We build accordingly.

A pet tracking collar is a household location beacon. Aggregated, that’s a burglary map. We treat location as a physical safety matter, not a privacy one: the strictest controls, and the shortest retention of anything we hold.

Zero trust
Nothing is trusted by where it comes from. Identity and authorisation will be checked at every boundary.
Encryption
AES-256 at rest. TLS 1.3 in transit, between our own services too. Keys rotated by a managed service.
Access
Multi-factor sign-in for all staff, least-privilege roles and short-lived tokens. Nobody holds open access to the full record set, including the founder.
Payments
Card numbers will be tokenised through a PCI DSS provider, so we never hold them.
Logging
Every access to a record is logged, so any look at a record can be accounted for.
AI
Authorisation is enforced in the retrieval layer, never in the prompt. We never ask a model to keep a secret.
Delivery
Security tests block every release. No direct commits, including by the founder.
Resilience
Multiple availability zones from launch, immutable backups and tested restores.
Testing
An external penetration test before launch.
Breaches
Affected users and regulators told within 72 hours, in plain language.

These are commitments for launch, not certifications. We don’t claim ISO 27001 or SOC 2.
